Why Snow Village

One company from load calc to the last filter change

Most commercial HVAC jobs in New York get split across a supplier, an installer, and whoever answers the phone when it breaks in August. We do all three — so nobody gets to point at the other guy.

🔨

Licensed techs, in-house

The people who quote your job are the people who install it — licensed and EPA-certified, on our own crew, not a sub we found last week.

📐

Sized properly, not guessed

We run a real load calculation for your space, occupancy and kitchen load. Oversized short-cycles and dies early; undersized never catches up in August.

🏢

We already work in these buildings

We build and service commercial refrigeration in the same NYC restaurants, supermarkets and back-of-house spaces. Tight rooftops, old electrical, no freight elevator — not new to us.

📝

Straight answers on cost

You get a written, itemized number after we see the site: equipment, labor, electrical, curb and roof work, permits. No “starting at” price that doubles at signing.

📅

Timelines you can build around

Real equipment lead time and a real crew date — told to you before you sign, not after your GC already scheduled the drywall.

📞

Service after the install

Same local team for warranty work, coil and filter maintenance, and emergency calls. You call the company that put it in.

What We Install

Commercial systems, commercial buildings

New installs, full replacements, and cooling for a space you’re building out. If your job is on this list, we can quote it.

🏢

Rooftop units (RTU)

Packaged rooftop replacement and new curb work for restaurants, retail and single-story commercial buildings.

Split & multi-zone systems

Condenser plus air handler, and multi-zone setups where the dining room, kitchen and office each need their own control.

💨

Ductless mini-split & VRF

For build-outs where new duct isn’t realistic, or where each tenant space has to be controlled separately.

🍳

Kitchen make-up air & ventilation

Cooling that actually works in a commercial kitchen means dealing with the hood and the make-up air, not just adding tonnage.

🛠

Ductwork & distribution

New duct runs, diffusers and returns as part of the install, so the air gets where it’s supposed to go.

Replacing a system that’s done

If you’re out of refrigerant every summer and someone quoted you a compressor, we’ll tell you honestly whether repair or replacement is the better spend.

How It Works

From first call to cold air in five steps

Call or Send the Form

Tell us the space, roughly how big, and what’s happening now. Five minutes on the phone covers most of it.

Free On-Site Assessment

We come out and check the space, the roof, the electrical service and the existing equipment. No charge, no obligation.

Load Calc & Written Quote

An itemized number — equipment, labor, electrical, roof and curb work, permits. It’s the number you’d sign.

Install By Our Own Crew

Scheduled around your hours where we can. Rigging, mounting, line sets, duct, electrical hook-up, controls.

Startup, Handover & Service

We commission it, walk you through the controls, and stay on as your service contact.

Coverage

Coverage that backs the install

1-Year Full Warranty

Parts and labor, covered in full for one year after install — the same warranty we put behind every walk-in cooler we build.

Local Service Team

Warranty work handled by the same New York crew that installed it. You call the people who did the job, not a 1-800 line.

Licensed & Insured

Licensed HVAC contractor and EPA-certified technicians, insured for commercial work. Certificates available for your landlord or GC on request.

Who We Work With

Commercial first — and the same crew does mini-splits

Restaurants and bars · supermarkets and delis · offices and coworking · retail stores · warehouses and light industrial · medical and dental offices · general contractors running a commercial build-out.

Commercial is what we do most, and it’s the harder end of the work — rooftop units, multi-zone systems, kitchen make-up air. A ductless mini-split or multi-zone system for a house, a rental unit or a small office is the same equipment and the same licensed crew, so call us on those too. The one thing we’re not the right fit for is a one-off filter change or a small service call.

Service Area

We install across the New York metro

Based in Jamaica, Queens — serving commercial buildings across the region. Further out? Ask us; we’ll tell you straight whether we can crew it.

Cost

What commercial HVAC costs in New York

There is no honest single number, and anyone who gives you one over the phone is guessing. Four things move the price more than the equipment brand does:

📏

Tonnage and zoning

How much cooling the space actually needs, and whether it has to be split into separately controlled zones.

🏠

What’s already there

Usable ductwork and a sound roof curb can cut a job in half. A gut build-out with no distribution is a different project.

Electrical service

If the panel can’t carry the new load, the electrical upgrade becomes a real line item — better to know at quote time.

📋

Permits, filing and access

Filing, inspection, crane or rigging for a rooftop unit, and after-hours work all show up as their own lines on our quote.

That’s why the on-site assessment is free: we look first, then give you one written number that doesn’t move.

FAQ

Common questions about commercial HVAC in NYC

Rooftop unit or split system?

Mostly a building question, not a preference. With roof access and a curb, an RTU is usually the cleaner replacement. Without one, or when you need separate zones, a split or VRF setup makes more sense. We’ll tell you which after we see the space.

How long does an install take?

A straight rooftop replacement is often a day or two on site. New duct, new electrical or a full build-out takes longer. Equipment lead time is usually the long pole, and we give you that number up front.

Do you handle permits and filing?

Commercial HVAC work in New York often needs filing and inspection. We tell you at quote time exactly what your job needs and who’s pulling it, so it isn’t a surprise later.

Do you do residential or small jobs?

A ductless mini-split or multi-zone system in a house or apartment is the same equipment and the same licensed crew as our commercial work, so yes. Our focus is install and replacement projects rather than one-off service calls — call about a repair and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth fixing.

Are you a contractor or just a supplier?

A contractor. We’re a commercial equipment company that runs its own licensed install crew — the same crew that builds and installs walk-in coolers and freezers across the city.

Can you work with our GC?

Yes. We do the HVAC scope on commercial build-outs, coordinate with your GC and electrician on sequencing, and provide insurance certificates for the building.
