Old Unit Haul-Away & Recycling — 1 Unit

Add this to your order and our delivery crew takes your old refrigeration unit away when they drop off the new one — one old unit per haul-away purchased.

Federal law (EPA Section 608) requires refrigerant to be recovered by a certified technician before any cooling unit is scrapped, and New York City will not pick up units with flammable refrigerants like R-600a or R-32. That is why this is a paid service and not a free add-on: your old unit goes to an EPA-certified recycler, and we handle the paperwork. Hiring this out on its own in the NY area runs $475 and up per commercial unit.

• Same type of unit as the one you are buying, one for one
• Emptied, defrosted, unplugged, and clear of the wall before we arrive
• Reachable on the same floor and same path as the delivery
